I’ve been in communications for 25 years – half of it in the corporate world and half of it running my own business. I started out in the defence electronics industry, focused mainly on marketing and customer communication. I then switched to a discipline I’m passionate about – employee communication.

I enjoyed a decade with Siemens where I was UK Head of Internal Communications. Other roles included writing the company’s 150 year history, developing a corporate social responsibility strategy, and promoting engineering at schools, colleges and universities – all tasks it was equally easy to approach with passion.

Further back in time I was awarded a First in English Literature by the University of London. I give daily thanks I have never had to open Langland’s Vision of Piers Plowman since.
